Judge Sullivan Finds In Favor of Team & IBOs PDF Print E-mail

(November 9, 2007 Michigan) It is a good court day for TEAM, Woodward, Brady and other IBO’s named by Quixtar/Amway in its contempt lawsuit. Judge Sullivan says in his just issued opinion, "...the Court cannot conclude the TEAM has violated the injunctive order by competing with the plaintiff (Quixtar/Amway.)" The new court document says in its summary conclusions on page 9 of the finding… “After giving much thought and consideration to the evidence presented by the parties the Court finds that there is no basis to sanction the named defendants or TEAM for violations of the August 28, 2007 preliminary injunction...

...The Court firmly believes this contempt hearing was not based on frivolous accusations... the evidence was simply insufficient to establish that the members of TEAM who chose to violate the order were acting in concert with the named defendants. The testimony of the defendants and other high-ranking TEAM officials is that the named defendants were aware of the order and attempted to comply..."

(November 9, 2007) "A judge has ruled against direct marketing giant Quixtar Inc. in its request for a contempt finding against a group of dissident ex-distributors.”


"...In a separate legal matter, regulators in the United Kingdom plan to go to trial beginning Nov. 26 in a case against Amway and a large group of its distributors regarding the company's business practices. The trial is expected to continue into December..."
